Magic is the main anomalous force behind the exotic lifeforms originating from Faerrum. Living organisms can utilize magic to directly or indirectly inflict anomalous or 'magical' phenomena unto its surrounding environment to assist in or enable survival and is thus present in almost all living organisms on Faerrum.

The ability to utilize magic has been noted to be an exclusive property of Faerrum organisms. The Arcane Affinity Ribonucleic Kinesis (AARK) protein is the main protein responsible for the ability to utilize magic and is encoded by the Arcane Affinity Genesis (AAG) gene.
